About Richard L. Lackey
Although a Florida native, Richard Lackey began his commercial real estate career - and his specialization in restaurant real estate - in Atlanta in 1969. While in Atlanta, he served as Vice President of the Restaurant and Retail Divisions at Ackerman and Company and then Rubloff & Company from 1969 until 1979 ... where the local media termed him the "king of restaurants" and as a consequence of the many restaurants he brought to the city, it was also said that he had " changed the eating habits of a city." In 1979, in a move to Miami, he assumed the head of the Restaurant/Retail Division of Cushman & Wakefield's South Florida office.
In the Founding of The Lackey Companies in 1983 - the focus then became solely "restaurant" real estate brokerage and consulting.
